Meals with Meaning

At the heart of every meal is a story – of land, family, memory, and care. This module embraces the rich tapestry of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, acknowledging that food is never just food – it’s connection, identity, and Country.

In aged care, a “one-size-fits-all” approach simply doesn’t honour the deep and diverse traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This module is guided by person-centred care and cultural safety. It invites care providers into ongoing, respectful conversations with older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.
